As we move through March, our campus continues to be filled with energy, creativity, and meaningful learning. It has been wonderful to see students exploring new ideas, collaborating with one another, and demonstrating curiosity and resilience.

One exciting development this month is the launch of our K–12 Wuxing-inspired House Team System. Our five houses - Grove, Flames, Terra, Iron, and Aqua - are already helping bring students together across grade levels while encouraging leadership, teamwork, school spirit, and a stronger sense of belonging.
Across the school, students are engaged in exciting learning experiences. From March 2-6, we celebrated Literacy Week with the Character Day being the highlight of the event series.

We are hoping to arrange a visit from a fire engine or possibly an ambulance for our Kindergarten students. In the Primary School, classes are beginning to prepare for Earth Day through projects connected to sustainability and environmental stewardship. In Middle School, students have been especially busy with English, Social Studies, and STEM projects, as well as investigating green energy solutions. In High School, students continue to build strong analytical skills in mathematics, and our music students are also preparing for the ACIS Music Concert in May.
March will also be a busy and exciting month for athletics. CMAC Season 3 is now underway, with our students competing in volleyball, badminton, futsal, and chess.

A major highlight this month will be ACIS hosting the first-ever Phoenix Flames 2v2 Basketball Tournament on March 14–15. We expect approximately 70 teams, including around 10 ACIS teams, making this a wonderful opportunity to build both school spirit and community connection.
We continue to prioritize student wellbeing during Chiang Mai’s smoky season. Our Senior Management Team closely monitors the Air Quality Index (AQI) throughout the day. When conditions are not safe, students and staff remain indoors until the air quality improves.
I would also like to invite you to our ACIS WASC Update & Community Celebration on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:45 PM – 3:45 PM in the C Building Canteen. We will share highlights from the WASC Visiting Committee, explain our next steps and growth goals, and enjoy interactive parent activities and a potluck. Looking ahead, please note these important dates: March 26–27: Parent Conferences, March 26–31: Progress Reports posted on Alma, and March 28: Spring Break begins.
Lastly, we would like to share an update on our WASC accreditation process. The Visiting Committee completed its visit from February 23–26, 2026, and will now move forward to the WASC Commission for review. We expect to receive the official result in late April or early May. Thank you to all of the students, staff, and families who helped support this important process.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. I look forward to seeing you on campus in the coming weeks.
